This was an absolutely wonderful get together. We did our usual gabbing about art and patterns and techniques, and shared our various challenge pieces. Last time, Leslie challenged us to tangle on black, and we had some terrific responses to that one!
But then the talk turned to essential oils, and Lorraine had some wonderful lavender and peppermint oils with her, and used them to rub a knot out of Lisa's neck. We also got excited about the upcoming Gem Faire that will be in town Sept 23-25...it may be a date!
However, our Zentangle Gathering is all about the art of Tangling, and that was our focus.
Dave brought some practice patterns: Ciceron and Chambray. We talked about shading with color and a little bit about how to draw and shade gems a la' Eni Oken.
As always, it was a fun, chatty, creative, artistic time.

We all contributed some amazing, beautiful tiles for the "Tangle on Black" challenge, and next time we are to use our initials as inspiration.
